About Us

Our Background

One of our Founding Directors, Mary Ndungu enjoyed a good working relationship with her former employer Procter and Gamble. Mary gained experience for over 22 years in conceptualizing and trailblazing tailor-made programs for the various brands in the market penetration and product uptake across East and Central Africa. Despite numerous challenges she encountered to ensure she delivered the much-needed
Menstrual Hygiene talk and provide free Always pads to the needy girls. Bethel Network’s journey started when one of the girls in her session left the class, picked dirty rags from the classroom dustbin, and rushed to the washroom. Mary followed up with the girl only to discover that she used the pieces of rags to manage her menses.

Bethel’s quest for creating programs that ensure vulnerable girls from a disadvantaged background access free pads and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) skill has over the years reached more than 100,000 girls from vulnerable and marginalized areas and distributed over 8 million pads across 24 Counties in Kenya. With the help of donors and well-wishers, we aim at rolling out the program to reach more girls in the other 25 counties in Kenya and expand to Central and East Africa.
