The latest tribal skirmishes in Olmoran, Laikipia County have led to displacement of families and loss of property. During this period, over 20 schools within and around these areas were closed down hence forcing learning to cease.In order to ensure normalcy returns, Bethel Network in partnership with Caritas Nyahururu structured a psychosocial support program for counselling the affected school going pupils together with their teachers.
The program which run in the months of October/November 2021 was facilitated by our 2 able counsellors who held 3 counselling sessions in each of the 20 beneficiary schools both in primary and secondary.
The main topics covered were:
- Trauma management
- Peace conflict resolution

- Open reflection session
