Bethel Network Joins Nairobi County Children’s Dialogue

Bethel Network recently had the privilege of participating in the Nairobi County Children’s Dialogue, a pivotal event organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with esteemed partners, including Bethel Network. Held on March 28th at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), the dialogue brought together key stakeholders, policymakers, and youth advocates to discuss critical issues surrounding education and youth empowerment.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the Cabinet Secretary of Education, Hon Ezekiel Machogu, EGH, who served as the chief guest. Additionally, the Nairobi County Governor, Hon Johnson Sakaja, and the Member of Parliament for Kasarani, Hon Ronald Karauri, were in attendance, alongside other influential figures and stakeholders.

As a partner in this important initiative, Bethel Network had the opportunity to contribute to the dialogue and exchange ideas on how to improve educational outcomes and support the holistic development of children and youth in Nairobi County. Through our participation, we reaffirmed our commitment to promoting access to quality education, fostering youth empowerment, and advocating for the rights of children.

The dialogue provided a platform for meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics, including inclusive education, child protection, youth employment, and skills development. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, panel discussions, and workshops aimed at identifying challenges, sharing best practices, and formulating actionable solutions to address the needs of children and youth in Nairobi County.

Key themes that emerged from the dialogue included the importance of collaboration between government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders in advancing education and youth development agendas. Participants also emphasized the need for greater investment in education infrastructure, teacher training, and innovative learning approaches to ensure that every child has access to quality education and opportunities for success.
